WHO WE ARE?
GETCH Community Department (short for GCD) is a non-pofit suborganization which is established by GETCH in 2007. GETCH is a non-profit and non-governmental school which provides higher education for youth with physical disabilities with tuition free of charge. GETCH has lots of experiences and resources in the field of supporting youth with disabilities. GCD mainly provides diverse service for huge young disabled people in China.
WHAT WE DO?
GCD is a multipurpose platform for youth with disabilities, we do not only service for GETCH students, but also provide resource for huge Chinese disabled young people.
• We organize annual summer camps and short-term workshops in diverse field for youth with disabilities.
• We seek funds to create projects with focus on supporting disability field.
• We create a domestic and international exchange and resource center for youth with disabilities.
OUR MISSION
♦ Promote rights of disability, equally participate community activities.
♦ Promote adaptive sport and recreation in Chinese community
♦ Promote inclusive education, art and sports.
♦ Promote communication between disabled with able-bodied, create harmony society
